Board Governance
WIBOSCOC is governed by a Board of Directors that support the long-term strategic vision and effectiveness of the organization. The Board meets monthly—currently on the first Tuesday from 1:00–3:00 PM.
The Board includes between 23 and 27 directors who each serve a three-year term, with a limit of two consecutive terms. Board member roles and responsibilities are detailed in the WIBOSCOC bylaws.
The Board is led by the President, who serves as the WIBOSCOC Executive Director. The President implements Board policy, manages daily operations, and oversees WIBOSCOC staff.
Board Members
Board members play a critical role in guiding the strategic direction of the organization and ensuring we fulfill our mission. The Board makeup includes:
21 directors nominated by local coalitions and approved by membership.
2 directors nominated by the Governance Committee and approved by membership: one must be a current or formerly homeless individual, and one is the HMIS system manager.
Up to 4 additional directors, who may be nominated by the Governance Committee and approved by membership. These may represent organizations serving veterans, youth, people experiencing chronic homelessness, or survivors of domestic violence.
