If the security deposit stays with the 1st landlord, can the agency use CoC funds to pay for a security deposit with Landlord #2?
When a landlord returns a security deposit to the recipient or subrecipient or needs to repay a recipient or subrecipient for an overpayment of rent, those funds are considered returned program funds, not program income. Returned program funds need to be used for CoC Program eligible activities, in accordance with the grant agreement.
